I agree! One of the most fantastic albums of the last five years. Saw them live in Amsterdam and they were great. Any information on further albums?

A true masterpiece of beauty. New album? Out 27th of March called......'Tindersticks', of course Previews say it's even better then no.1.....enjoy!

This is the best rock album I have ever heard.It is pity that there are few people who really like their music.There are certain influences one may find listening to the album:The Velvet Undeground,Nick Cave,Procol Harum,Leonard Cohen and their close music friends Gallon Drunk (both groups are helped by a trumpet and sax player Terry Edwards).I am eagerly waiting for the end of this month,when they plan to release their second album and if it is better than the great first one it will become my new Personal #1. Ernie.

Absolutely brilliant album- also look for their ep on cd or vinyl (sweet sweet man +3 tracks), a live cd/10" of an amsterdam performance, the no more affairs cd single from the new album, etc. Marbles and tye-dye are the standouts, but paco de renaldos dream, and so on are excellent. I agree with the comment on the Nick Cave influence-but I'd add that they're mercifully free of his rhythm and blues excesses. Cheers!

Superb album, but the second one is even better. Both should be in every record collection.

Like all people with good taste I find this album super-fantastic. In a global view I find it a little bit better than the second. That''s my opinion. PePi
