Comments for Toad the Wet Sprocket, dulcinea

E-MAIL: tbrusate@english.as.ua.edu
If you''re into literary allusion, the title is far from "silly." Dulcinea is the name of the peasant girl that Don Quixote imagines as the princess whom he would woo. Hence the album''s windmill references. In addition to being a well-produced (perhaps even a touch too smooth to be dubbed "alternative") album, anyone with an english major willappreciate the care that has gone into crafting the lyrics.
Don`t let the silly name scare you away. These folks make great alternative pop music. See if you can get the hooks in "Fall Down," or "Something`s Always Wrong" out of yourhead after a listen or two. Recommended, look for their other releases, especially "Pale."
