This album my nothave been the best of the Beatles. But it showed the great efforts, style, and accomplishment, in each song in its original recording

I think its great. This was the first albumn I got by the Beatles & I immediately wanted to hear more of them. I'm only 15 but I love the Beatles!

I was very dissapointed when i recieved this album. The versions of most of the songs sounded awful.

The anthology wasn't meant to be a collection of polished recordings. It was simply a collection of Beatles songs in their developing stages. They were basically "rough copy" versions of their songs. I wouldn't recommend the anthology to someone wishing to start a CD collection. It can't be truly appreciated unless you are already very familiar with The Beatles' material.

This anthology is only for devout beatle fans who know the originals. But its not music you'll want to play over and over again. It's definitely an interesting album, however. It shows them developing into major stars.
