tool is far by the best rock/metal bands out there , that song stinkfist rocks , the bass on it rocks , and the weird guitars on the ending sound like tom morello's guitar style tool rocks

Tools best! How they topped Undertow defies logic. This album transcends everything even remotely "metal". To all those who think that all this death metal stuff is heavy, you obviously havent heard this record. This Album is HEAVY! Quite frankly its a little frightening as well. Isaw em live a few months ago and needless to say they SMOKED!

Danny Carey{tools drummer} puts his percussive knowledge to a whole new level on this album. with his electronic percussion mixed with his acoustic sonor drumset, his drumming is wicked. Plus, i love their new basist--exellent job my boys

Incredible album. Stinkfist is probably the best song of 1996.

Aenima is technically superior to Undertow, however if you're more into riffs, fast music and stuff that you can really go off to... it's not as good. I personally like it better but i know others who don't. Adam Jones is one of the most creative guitarists around and the riffs he writes are awesome. This accompanyed by the amazing drumming by Carey and versatile voice of MJK makes any song they do great. The lyrics of this album have a lot more depth to them. Some people argue that they're scary but personally I believe they're just challenging ie they make you think. Tool ROCK!!

Did you know Danny plays a Sonor drum set? If you're a drummer you can appreciate that since they are basically jazz drum sets. He definately has class when deciding on his drum sound. He probably uses the Falams II snare head since he is one of the hardest hitting drummers out there. That's something to tell all of your musician friends if they don't know it already. They will think you really suck or you're a Tool encyclopedia or both.

This c.d is one of the best made in history...... You know like it actually means shit and it''s just so fuckin'' powerful-the tunes blow me away and tend to trip me out a little but I like it! I''m not trying to say thet I''ve ever been under the influence of illegal substances(lol) but fuck, listen to this while you are and it tends to make my head go walkies and sometimes, just sometimes,I go into a little trance-anybody feel the same?I hope so because people always say"Hey Kaitlyn-you''re fuckin'' warped in the head man" and I just let it slide.Sometimes I slip into this really wierd place-fuck knows where and it''s dark and I can hear those tool tunes but I guess I''m going craZy.All this shit is true O.K?Well my point is this c.d will be around and listened to in 20 years time-I''m only 15 now so I''ll be 35 and trippin over it still well that''s if I don''t end up in a nuthouse before that.O.K sorry I wrote so much-Bye bye all you people that I propably knew in another life(hey it''s possible,is it not?)ok bye, love kaitlyn#########
one of the best albums of 1996! this is by far Tool`s best work and the band expands its musical horizons tenfold! this record definitely has a progressive feel showing that Tool has attached itself to more exotic rhythms and melodies. the songs are adorned with so many complex passages and interludes that there are more than four songs that clock in over seven minutes! "third eye" is an especially amazing song. this album was released on a limited edition double vinyl on september 17, 1996. the CD cover is also very revolutionary as the booklet opens up to produce several different holograms.
