Comments for Total Eclipse, Total EclipseE-MAIL: fwalton@world.nad.northrop.com Vocals (Bernie K.) Guitar (Victor Johnson) Bass (Dre' Baby) and Drums (Dave Brown). Together and separately these guys have been rockin for over 12 years in *The BusBoys* and in seminal all black Metal Band *Sound Barrier*. This new group is light years beyond their previous work. This record rocks with enough style to rival veterans like Scorpions or Metalicca. This record has a tendency to sound slick, but that mostly because the band is *so good*. They recorded the thing basically *live* in the studio, and having heard them onstage in L.A. a couple dozen times over the last 3-4 years I still can't believe how *clean* they play. Just listen with this in mind, it sound better in person and it already sounds great.E-MAIL: cort@rma.edu It has been several years since I've seen or talked to any of the band members but I will tell you they were one of the hotest bands I have ever seen in my life. I was going to school in California and decided to go into L.A. with some friends to check out the music scene. We went to a club called the China club in Hollywood that evening. We were there for about 1.5 hours and I had seen enough. You see, prior to comming to L.A. I was a working muscian for over 20 years as a professional drummer. I was not easily impressed and the guys on this stage were puting me to sleep with their "I wanna be a rock star" antics. Well anyway, we were about to leave ( it was after midnight) but one more band was comming on. And I would have left except it cost me $15 to get in and I was so broke I couldn't even afford a drink. So I stayed. Then Total Eclipse came on. Well let me tell you...my jaw just about hit the floor. I couldn't believe these guys were that good. They looked so, well....young! After the set, I had to go back and talk to them. Here I was giving advice to these (what I thought of were young kids) astounding muscicians. Imagine my chagrin when I found out just who they were. To make a long story short, I got to know the guys and was a big supporter of the band until they broke up. You want to hear something really weird? Bernie K.(lead singer) moved in 2 doors away from where I used to live. I happen to be looking out the door when he walked by. "Gee that guy looks familiar. Holy sh*t it its the Lead singer for Total Eclipse"! If anyone knows where any of the guys are now please E-Mail me and let me know. And by all means check out their CD. It is the real thing! DonE-MAIL: Streetrdy@aol.com I got to see these guys here in Houston in 92''. My band was booked at a club called Barcelona Nights (which is now closed)in September I believe, and we got a call saying that there would be three national bands playing there that night so we got bumped off the bill. Thinking we were bad ass, we went to the club that night to see just who these unknown nationals were. Total Eclipse was the opening act and it was within the first minute and a half my drummer and myself were "down in front". These guys commenced whipping some serious ass in that place. The other two bands were lame ass pretty boys and I know they were scared shitless to come out there after Total Eclipse. The fact that these guys were behind Living Colour really pissed me off!! They had much better material and the guitarist was worlds better than what''s his name(SLOP GOD). It''s a damn shame that there is only one album by Total Eclipse, and an even bigger shame that no one really got to hear them. Check out my band at www.streetready.com and keep the real rock alive!!
