It certainly is no 'Empty Glass' but I would like to comment on the above entry pertaining to Townshend's sexuality. If you haven't heard it was Pete pulling a Townshend. Get it, he's just pushing the limits once again this time it happens to be writing from a female angle. Big deal at least it's not a Daltry album

This album is certainly strange, but like anything else, if you listen to it often enough, you will make sense of it. I also find that comment on Pete''s sexuality rude and uncalled-for. He is a fine artist, no matter what. Jennifer
If you like concept albums and you like Mr. (Ms?) Townshend, you should like this album. There are a few tunes (I want That Thing, Predictable, English Boy) that have that perfect combination of hook and rhythm that stick them firmly in your head for a few days. The story, of a washed-up rock star named Ray High, his coke-addict manager Rastus Knight, his nemesis (and Rastus` S&M partner) Ruth Streeting, and a mysterious pornographic photodoesn`t really flow meaningfully from track to track, and there are a few subplots that make no sense at all, like this whole Grid-Life thing. All in all, a great listen. Dialogue- and non-dialogue versions are available.
