'Low Spark' has got to be THE classic song of that psychedelic era. But listen to the refrain of 'Many a Mile to Freedom': could there be anything more romantic?

The tracks are: 1. Hidden Treasure 2. Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys 3. Rock & Roll Stew 4. Man a Mile to Freedom 5. Light Up or Leave Me Alone 6. Rainmaker

More of a Radio Friendly sound but still not too commercial. Great title track. Rainmaker is not bad either.

The CD I have of this has "Light Up" moved from track 3 to track 5. Go figure... Here's a creepy thought: Of the 6 guys in the band that made this album, 3 are deceased (Reebop, Chris & Rick) and one other is in prison (J.Gordon).

Original song order was Hidden, Low, Light, Rock, Many & Rainmaker. (see my comments above, then 'bobbieg's further above)

The best song in "Low Spark" , to me , has to be "Light up...". It has fabulous drumming by Jim Capaldi and a tremendous feeling of forward movement..

I am amazed that I can listen to "Low Spark" 26 years later and it is still as fresh as when I first heard it. It has a driving, compact feel with both jazz and rock overtones that still blow me away.

Evrytime i listen to ''Low Spark ....'' i hear something new in it, and I have been listening to it A LOT over the past 26 years or so. One of my favourite albums of all time. Hidden Treasure is a gem too, no pun intended!!
An all-around good album
