Comments for U.D.O., No limits

E-MAIL: melnik@hires.mps.ohio-state.edu
Time doesn''t seem to have an effect on these guys! This album is a sort of deja-vu: U.D.O. shifted a little bit back to their previous sound, and album reminds me of everything they have done in 80s, while retaining harshness of the sound of Solid. There is definitely more melody here, and though the album is not as heavy as Solid, it by no means falls out of the row. It is quite consistent and it''s hard to tell which track is a highlight, though all covers are damn great (especially, if you heard the original version of "Lovemachine"). Weaker tracks here are "One step to fate" (though it is "saved" by solo) and somewhat anonimous "Rated X".
Album No. 6 is made with the same members. There are 10 ownsongs and 3 cover-versions, an interesting version of theDisco-Hit "Lovemachine" from Austrian vocalist SUPERMAX.
