Comments for Ultravox!, Ha!Ha!Ha!

E-MAIL: olsenh@telepost.no
Recorded in London during the "Summer of Punk" in 1977, the sound is very different from their later excesses into synth bombast. Heavy, sparse, guitar-dominant, but with plenty of synth&sundries underneath. John Foxx was in his 'iceberg' period lyrically, making this record altogether something of an early 'new romantic' influence.

Oh John why did you leave??? What an utter pile of shite Ultravox became after you quit. I adore this album...please check it out it is fantastic, the music critics hated Ultravox because they smashed all preconceptions and they could not be boxed into ''Rock'', ''Punk'', ''Thrash'' etc etc...the kids new better though and they were becoming huge just before they split. For me Ultravox were unique-they opened the floodgates for dozens of other experimental bands to cross over into guitar/synetic areas and deserve much more respect.
YES! There was life before Wienna.. Although ultravoxis well known for it`s hits after John Foxx left thegroup, there are in fact 3 albums of Ultravox with John foxx. HaHaHa is the second album.
