Reading the previous comment gave me an urge to listen to that album and crank the volume up... Gotta-go, bye!

'Aint Talkin' 'Bout Love is the single greatest Van Halen song in history. How can no one agree? There is no Hagar song to rival it, not even "Cradle" or "Panama" (although Panama is #2). Whenever I hear that screaming intro, I bust a nut and feel like beating the crap out of someone. Yeah! Nothing gets me pumped like that song.

"I'm the one" is the probably the best song ever made. And Van Halen IS the best guitarist ever born.

"Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" is probably #1 VH song of all time. Along with "Hot For Teacher," from 1984, those are the 2 best songs of the Dave era.

how is it that 10 times as many people comment on the balance album as I. those people need to get a fucking clue about true van halen music. happy trails fuck!

This is the best debut album of an artist that I have ever heard. The best songs are: Runnin' With The Devil, Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, I'm The One and On Fire.

Whether anybody wants to believe it or not this album is the inpiration for about 99.9% of anybody in my generation (x) to start playing a fucken guitar!

Let see if those asshole guys from Green Day and all those 90's band can live up to this album.

After you listen to it you know that Eddie is one of the greatest guitarist to ever live!

Dave is the most exceptional singer ever. "I'm On Fire" is a great way to end such a great album. And "Runnin' With The Devil is the best possible song to boost the debut album of the best band from 1978-April 1, 1985.

This album is the reason I am into Van Halen. No debut album kicks off the way this one does. Runnin'w/the Devil just starts a fireball that just keeps burning for the entire album. It is my favorite.

VAN HALEN I I willingly argue anyone that this albumn is by far the best debut by ANY band. The innovation involved with Edward Van Halen's guitar masterpieces is simply phenomenal. Let me say just one thing. Go back to 1978. Look at the other music that was put out then. Put yourself in that time frame. Now put in VAN HALEN and listen to Eruption. How can anybody not LOVE this album??? From start to finish, every song is 10 times cooler than all the crap rock that came out at its time (with the possible exception of the first four Aerosmith albums, and Born to Run). "I'm the One" is one of the best songs they ever released - hearing the terrible 4 Non Blondes version on the "airheads" soundtrack was a disgrace!! BUY THIS ALBUM and add to the 11 million that already did.

I have the priviledge of being in my teens and attending concerts when VH first toured on this album....Talk about bustin a nut....It was SOOO Fuckin great..I barely remember who they were opening for..I was so in shock!!! Eddie VH proves here on the album and forever more that he IS the standard for guitar players and NO ONE .. NOT ONE SINGLE GUITARIST has EVER come close!!! Great Album from beginning to end.......If you can listen to this album without getting pumped up enuff to bang yer head into walls,,,You must be DEAD!!!!!

Dear Van Halen Band Members; It is with great anticipation that my husband and I wait to see your reunion tour this summer June 10th in Greensboro. We've had financial difficulty for the last two years, and we are saving up for the concert. My husband found much comfort in your music 19 years ago after having major back surgery. David pursued his love of music and fashioned a style close to Eddie's on the guitar. I bought him a Wolfgang for our Wedding shower 3.5 years ago. We have prayed so much for Eddie since hearing of the medical problems he's had. I need to ask you a personal favor and that is to make this once in a lifetime event even more special.
