Comments for Various Artists, Metropolis

It is a shame to produce this sort of album/music for one of Fritz Lang's most famous film! What a pity! Nevertheless, the new retrieved _Metropolis_ (full length restored one) features music according to the one forseen by Mr. Lang himself. Note: the present version features songs from Freddie Mercury and others (same style)

Despite the above disclaimer, the ''electric'' sounding music of Moroder in the mid-80s is a fitting accompaniment to this industrial-themed film. The Pat Benatar vocals on Here''s My Heart are worth it alone, and only surpassed by the versions that went into the actual film. Freddy Mercury''s Love Kills is also a haunting tune -- and not just because it''s prophetic.
