Comments for Veruca Salt, Eight Arms to Hold You

I like the songs on this album more so than the first. The album proves the girls songwriting capabilities. The songsare really good, I just think that the production is toopolished. It`s not rough around the edges enough. It soundslike something that Bob Rock would do to good song as aproducer. I think he took too much of the purity from someof the songs that you can hear more so in their first album.I saw them live in February at the L.A. Viper room where they showcased most of these songs, which I had only heard"Volcano Girls", and the album does not do them justice. Thesong were so much more live, there is definetly something lost in the production. But, I will not take away from thesongs, which are really well written. Plus after seeing those girls live (especially that Lousie cute and talented)plus the guys, I can give the album a 7 out of 10. SorryBob Rock killed it.JohnnyCro
