Comments for Verve, Voyager 1This is an e.p. of a few songs recorded live in New York and London in 1992. It is available on vinyl only and was limited to just 1,000 copies if i`ve been informed correctly, but it`s well worth the money you`ll spend on it if you`re lucky enough to find a copy. These live versions are less polished than the studio versions, but the energy level more than makes up for it.kapler79@yahoo.ca If you're a Verve fan, this record is a real gem. With only 1000 copies produced, and 500 damaged in shipping, it's a rarity and has been known to fetch asome serious quid. The live versions of these early classics are simply stunning. It's hard to believe that a four piece band is capable of such a sonic assault. Notable cuts are a booming Already There and an ultra rare South Pacific, a stunning song about isolation and wanting to get away from it all. I don'thave the original but have been able to get the mp3's from Napster, back when it was still up. If you're interested and don't know where to turn, drop me a line and I'll see what I can do to hook you up. Cheers, Kapler79 kapler79@yahoo.caGreen_giant2@hotmail.com I recently downloaded the Mp3s for this album and quite simply, its become one of my faverite albums. It has some of the greatest guitar sounds that I have ever heard from a band, and the way that Nick builds up a wall of shimmering sound on his own is amazing. Definatly worth getting your hands on the Mp3s, especially South Pacific. However, my faverite track is definatly a stunning Slide Away.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
