Comments for Vollenweider, Andreas, Eolian Minstrel

Folk singer Eliza Gilkyson adds a special touch to this album. In his on-going search for musical growth, Andreas discovered Eliza's voice in the good old USA while on a 'worldwide' sailing journey(hence the title of the album!) He mentioned that her voice was like a "flower" which grows in a spring garden - and it was this flower which was to bring a new twist to the music of AVAF.

Another great success by one of the most passionate and original artists of our time. The music is stirring to the very soul. Every note nothing less than excellent-of course. Eliza Gilkyson''s vocals (sung in ENGLISH surprise, surprise...) add a touch of the human spirit to Andrea''s other worldly musical creations. I was fortunate enough to hear this album live in Columbus Ohio, and the taped version was no disappointment even after witnessing it straight from the hands of the musical master!
A.Vollenweider plays his famous electrified pedal harp.Wide range of different music styles.

The worst of all Vollenweider albums to me. Much better with no vocals. Nice instrumentals though
