Comments for Vomit Launch, Mr. SpenchE-MAIL: chas@ucla.edu Good album but can't compare to how they sounded live. Vocalist Patricia Rowland is/was in a group called "Chucklehead" which had at least one 45 out. Same sort of punk/folkie sound. Not bad at all.E-MAIL: dkeatley@mediabridge.net Chucklehead was a one-off project featuring Larry and Trish from Vomit Launch. Larry is now (Jan. 97) in Portland Oregon running a small recording studio. Trish was in another band called Charm Fueled which also featured Sean Gowan from the Vertels. CF recorded some demo material, then broke up. To the best of my knowlege this is the second "album: fromthis Chico, CA based group. I refer to the music as PunkFolk with an attitude, but what do I know? A nicelybalanced album with many good tunes. The band disbanded in`92 shortly after the release of "Dogeared" their lasteffort.cymru@shocking.com Awesome shit... had to see Trish with a beer bottle to believe it... heart-tugging lyrics... A west-coast/female version of the Violent Femmes... too bad they never had the luck of meeting up with the Pretenders the same way....(VF's got noticed on the sidewalk outside of a Pretender's concert). Ms.Hines would have loved Trish & Co...Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
