Comments for Belinda Carlisle, Live Your Life Be Free

"Live your life be free" may not be Belinda Carlisle´s best album, but it does confirm her position as one of the greatest female artists in long time. During the fall of ´93 I was a part of team that produced a tv-show (ZAPP!) for Swedish Television TV2. Belinda Carlisle performed in the first show and displayed nothing else but pure professionalism.

Belinda Carlisle all Music is a good.
A mediocre album highlighted by the uptempo single"Do You Feel Like I Feel," and the beautiful ballad "HalfThe World." A failure both critically and commercially, dooming Belinda Carlisle to the category of "has-been."
I'm delighted that everyone seems to like "Do You Feel Like I Feel", because it is a fantastic song, but even better still is "I Plead Insanity". Definitely her best ever song, it has everything; great production and is full of energy and the drums in the middle are to die for. Such a pity that it was never released as a single in the UK, and we had to endure the pitifully bland track "Little Black Book" (the worst on the album). "Live Your LIfe Be Free", "You Came Out Of Nowhere" and "World Of Love" are also great. The best album of the nineties in my book.
