Comments for Waters, Roger, The Pros & Cons Of Hitchhicking

E-MAIL: glancaster@mecn.mass.edu
Proof that Roger Waters was *not* Pink Floyd, and that he makes disgraceful (and sexist) albums like any other less-sainted rock performer.

Pros and Cons takes us on a musical journey through a night's dream, beginning in an operating theatre and hiking its way to Germany, Wyoming, Encino, love, lost love, and sexual revolution. Although Rog steals from his own music (the "In The Flesh?" riff in particular) guest appearances by Eric Clapton, Michael Kamen, David Sanborn, and Jack Palance make the aural landscape of this intense album. For those who feel Rog was the definitive creative force behind Pink Floyd, this album is for you.
E-MAIL: Jukka, you suck!!!
Roger Waters keeps wining about how alienated he feels towards audiences and live performances which he disapproves of. If that is so, then why are there several million copies of each of his albums floating around the world? Does he need reach out to that many people? Or, maybe he thinks that several million is ok because it's a small amount compared to billions? All he ever cares about is making more and more money. I hate this kind of attitude.

for believing in such right-wing ideas by a pretend left-winger. Not only has Waters proved on 'The Final Cut' that he is a racists. We also discover on this album that he's a sexist as well. It's male-chauvinist pigs like him and Ray Cooper (with whom he collaborates with here) that keeps society from progressing any further.

I get the feeling that the above people have rated this album based on the cover art and haven't listened to a bit of this album. One of my favorite "quiet" albums with intense Clapton guitar. Best of the Waters solo efforts. A definite recommendation.

Hey, did ya ever notice how tons of people seem to think that Pink Floyd was like the greatest Rock band that ever existed, and Pink Folyd always shows up in every top 100 or top 5o, or top whatever Rock Band/Album list? Just one problem: Pink Floyd never actually played anything you could resonably call Rock & Roll. Second, as an art form the stuff is grossly over-rated. You simply can't compare any of their (or Waters') work with the works of Hemmingway, Faulkner, Brahms, Da Vinci, Twain, & this list is endless. NOTHING Roger Waters and his ilk could strainingly wrest out of their foggy skulls, even on their most creative day, will be remembered 100 years form now. If anybody disagrees with me please e-mail me -better yet- they can kiss my ass!!
