Comments for Williams, John, Greatist Hits of the GuitarCan John Williams do any wrong? 67 minutes of music, not somuch as a second of it unlistenable. Recording quality varieson this album as it is from several sources, some analog.Of interest is the "Cavatina" which is both simple and luxuriousand, of all things, a classical theme to a major movie. Alsoof interest is Paganini`s Caprice No. 24, the history of whichis best found on Andrew Lloyd Weber`s "Variations" album, whicharrived in the late `70`s, too early to catch this partular(and well done) arrangement by Williams. I`d give this albuma 10 easily for it`s performance, but, with recordings goingback to 1975, I`ll be honest and give a 9.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
