Comments for Wire Train, Wire Train

I agree with the above comment. The first four songs are definitely the outstanding tracks. The latter half gets a bit cliche. A solid effort but probably the poorest of Wire Train''s five albums.
Solid album, especially first side, from the sometimesquiet, sometimes rockin` San Francisco group. Pensive, moody folk rock shot through with gladness.

I saw these guys open for Bob Dylan back around 1990. They have a fantastic sound: great music and great vocals and great lyrics. Each song has its own "feel" and is very well done. "Tin Jesus" is an awesome tune about bogus televangelists, were rampant back then. The other songs each have a unique story to tell as well. Some fast; some slow. But all are worthy of your collection. This is a highly-underrated band of musicians and this is a premo album.
