Comments for Xymox, Subsequent Pleasures

Very primative and machinelike texture to the music. Get this album last!

Although very rough in sound. Clan of Xymox CAN STILL mesmerise you with their wonderous voices and insane concoctions!I like Subsequent Pleasures very much and think for an 4 track recording in May of 1983, it maintains a great appeal. The demos at the start of this CD are not as good as the 4AD re-recordings but they as well have interesting, spinning sounds which wind up and around you in a swirling sea of synthetic splendor. As I said before, these first 6 songs that are rough drafts for their 4AD debut, pack quite a punch for an 8 track recording made in 1984.I find their early efforts very inovative in their range and basic structure.
First 6 songs are the original demo-tape recordings. Songs 7-11 are from their first very rare album `Subsequent Pleasures`.
