Comments for Zappa, Frank, Guitar (Disc 2)

This kid Arlo Quint is one of the best Blues bassist I have ever heard, and I know the Blues. I haven't heard any other stuff he's done and I wonder how he ever met up with Zappa, and I wonder even more how he convinced him to do a Blues album. The lyrics are not in German, though there is some German spoken on the last track. I have yet to figure out why this was released off such an obscure label.

I played with Frank and Arlo on this album even though I don't care much for the blues. "Why?", you ask, It is because I could not pass up the chance to play with Arlo Quint, the best bass player on God's green Earth.

These are two of the finest musicians around. This is Frank`s last guitar based album, and Arlo`s firstalbum period.

I would kill to get my hands on this recording in CD format can anyone help me out? even if you have to (god forbid) burn a copy for me. please please please We only live once and I must hear this music.

After the Zappa band toured Europe in 1982, we all assumed Frank would release tapes of those shows as The Man From Utopia. As it turned out, Frank took studio tracks he already had, spiffed them up and that was the content of this record. When it comes to courage under the fire of society's mediocrity, we all drown in it's insipidness at times. But when it comes to rising above the dreck, God didn't make us inferior to Frank, He just gave Frank bigger BALLS.
