Comments for Berlin, Pleasure Victim

Debut album from a then "New Wave" band. This album was release prior to their pop evolution and is heavily influenced by synth org. All in all, an excellent first album.

Actually, it's amazing how well this album's held up over time. I got it when I was 13, and it's still one of my all-time faves (also sometimes I put it in that "guilty pleasure" catagory. Fitting, I guess...) Songwriting is strong here; "The Metro", "Pleasure Victim", and "Masquarade" stand out. "Sex", though a bit smutty towards the end, is actually quite compelling as well. Overall, this is a classic American synth/new wave album.

Terrific album from a then unknown synth-band. Sounds just as great today as it did in '84. The songs "Pleasure Victim", "Sex (I'm a...)", and "The Metro" are classics and a must have for all Berlin fans.
