This album is one of the most achingly beautiful American cultural artifacts of our time, drawing from blues, soul, R&B, C&W, and folk. Hawkins voice is simply astounding.

Ted Hawkins was probably THE most underrated singer/ songwriter of this era. He had the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard and since The NEXT HUNDRED YEARS was sadly his last effort before passing into the great beyond, the small but vocal number of his fans have to find whatever Ted Hawkins sustanence we can and make sure that we spread the word and give this wonderful man the recognition he deserves.
