'Headache' has a bit more of an edge to it than 'Foxheads', but is still a brilliant piece of works by these Scots. Tuneful, jangly guitars, hypnotically wonderful vocals, and lively, irresistible melodies, contribute to a fantastic album. Possibly a more solid album than 'Foxheads'.

"Headache" is another gem from these popsters. It is a little more polished than the previous records but very good! All the songs are killer! especially "Knee Trembler" I wore this album out and had to purchase another one. Yeah!! MTV even played one of the Lobsters videos from Headache. If they reissue this Lp again I hope they enclose a lyric sheet. What I like about this band is the bass line that provides the backbone to all thier songs. I saw the Lobsters warm up for Bob Mould in Lawrence ,KS and it just ROCKED! I'm not knocking Mould, but I preferred The Close Lobsters. Bob always picks good warm up bands. I could'nt belive that I was there on the front row for that concert. The singer looked like a prep school student with shorts, dress shoes and suspenders. Go get this album! and experience the jangley rhythm line.

Headache Rhetoric by Close Lobsters is one of my favorite albums of all time! From the sad but poppy opening of "Lovely Little Swan" to the sonic-nervousness of "Knee Trembler", Andrew Burnett and the boys tear through the 80's like a juggarnaut on 80 caps of speed and 4 grams of cocaine. Every track is nervous and tight but remains raw to the core. My favorite songs are: "Lovely Little Swan", "Words On Power", "Nature Thing", "My Days Are Numbered", "Gut Ache" etc. I might as well just list them all. I saw the "Nature Thing" video on 120 Minutes on Mtv and I've been begging them to play it again as a cult classic. Close Lobsters are an amazing group and somebody should create a web page for them so their cds can be reissues. Now, THEY ARE OUT OF PRINT! Come on people! Let's keep the Close Lobsters music alive!
