Comments for Oldfield, Sally, Water BearerE-MAIL: jlnyvoll@online.no I first came across Sally Oldfield in 1981,when my uncle played the sweet music of the "CELEBRATION" album. (1980,Bronze/Castle) From the very first beat of "MANDALA", I was hooked. Her angelic voice, different music and the light touch of the production was magical to me. I set out to aquire all the Sally Oldfield albums I could find, and I believe I noe have all of them. The best of them all is, no doubt, "WATER BEARER"(1978,Bronze). With its Tolkienesque lyrics and magical music,it´s enough to lift you out of the humdrum, ordinary lives that most of us live.dave@spiceuk.com I've been playing Waterbearer for 20 years - its by far and wide my favourite album of music and still sends shivers down my spice with its beautiful lyrics, tight haromics and other worldly ambience. A truly magical album. Sally`s voice and instrument playingcreate a sense of wonder. The songs are mostly folk inspiredwith themes drawn from celtic mythology and Tolkien. For me this is a true classic.andrea.dipiazza@inwind.it fantastico, incredibile, meraviglioso, affascinante, superbo, mistico, grandioso, insuperabile, cristallino, elfico... non ci sono aggettivi per qualificare questo spettacolare lavoro, dove sally canta e suona tutti gli strumenti quasi contemporaneamente. Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
