Phat! Phat! Phat! Yo P-nut, beat that thang! Yeah, so anyway, 311 rocks and I don't even smoke weed (gunna start soon though). Music is better, but Grassroots is just SO chill. 311 is a bit of an anomoly, but the first two made up for it.

let me tell all yalls something - i've been listenin to 311 for over 4 yeara and grassroots is there best studio album. music is real good, but it is mor eof a re-recording of a lot of their EP songs, many of them rearanged. the self-titled is a little repetitive already, but grassroots is sweet all the way through. hands down - the best 311 lp to date.

This album diverged two ways from their first major release, "Music." "Homebrew," "Nutsymtom," "Applied Science," and "Silver" all have a harder, more penetrating groove to them. On the other hand, other tracks such as "Omaha Stylee" and "Taiyed" show the band's reggae and jazz influence. This album has the best balance of all three.
