Brilliant album one of their best. Actually all their albums are the best.

Run right out and get this album! Very hard to describe, but contemplating a head-on collision between Leonard Cohen and Neil Young gets you part way there. The three covers (Love Songs, All Mixed Up, Runaround) are brilliant deconstructions of the originals. Moody, vibrant, wonderful.

If you like James Taylor meets Pink Floyd (without theelectrical guitar), then you`ll love The Red House Painters.Mark Kozelek is a genius songwriter-poet (albeit a bit depressing).Recommemed buy. Received an A- from Entertainment Mag.
