Comments for Unicorn, Too Many Crooks / Unicorn 2

A really great album by an incredibly underrated and virtually unknown band! Terrific songs (most written by Ken Baker), with catchy melodies and odd, (often nonsensical?) lyrics which conjur up intriguing images, with a fine country guitar from Kevin Smith. This is an album I grew up with, and always return to! Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd produced this, plays some pedal steel, and also covered one of these songs on his own first solo album...(Incidentally, this disc sounds nothing like Floyd) Give this a try,as well as their disc "Blue Pine Trees"!
Produced by David Gilmour.

Probably their best album. a good portion has been rereleased on the CD "The Best Of" Unicorn. Learn more about the band at http://home.earthlink.net/~tdglenn/unicorn/index.htm

One of the best albums of the 70's. Seriously. It is that good. Bad marketing, lack of promotion, bad timing?? Who knows, but believe me and go and discover this for yourself. Then get their other three albums... Buy a turntable if you need one.... it's worth it.
