Ric Ocasek did a great job in producing this album.

A mixed bag. "Rockin' the Bronx" is pure unadulterated natural fertilizer, and "Maria's Wedding" isn't much better. "James Connelly" on the other hand, is absolutely wonder- ful, and I stopped counting how many times I played "Living in America" after the first 50 or so times. It would be nice if these guys came out with a more consistently solid sophomore effort.

I THINK THAT COMPARING THIS BAND WITH U2 IS A MISTAKE. THE ONLY THING THEY HAVE IN COMMON IS ANCESTRY. BLACK 47 ARE ABLE TO DEFTLY SWITCH MUSICAL FORMS TO FIT THEIR NEEDS. LIVING IN AMERICA,MARIA'S WEDDING, AND FUNKY CEILI ARE THE STANDOUT TRACKS ON THIS CD, WHICH HAS NO WEAK TRACKS TO SPEAK OF. IF YOU DON'T OWN IT AND IT IS STILL AVAILABLE, BUY IT. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

i''ve seen these guys three times back when their first album came out and they are a really great band to see live. The drummer has a primitive energy that is not to be missed! They are one of the best bands i''ve seen live in a very long time!!!
Very good Irish Rock sounds, which was produced by Rick Ocasek & Larry Kirwan. If you like U2 then this band is oneyou should add to your collection.
