This was a good start for the band. "Walk Out In the Rain" and "Crimson Ship" are very overlooked pieces that should be given more serious consideration by bands looking to do covers of material from the early 70's. "Midnight Sun" is also in this category. Any of these three songs could still chart if given the opportunity and proper promotion.

I love this album. It's very Beatles sounding. Every track is great.

This is the sort of album that grows on you. I was first exposed to "Straight Up", which is the best classic rock album ever made. Needless to say, "Magic Christian" is a shift in gears, but an excellent piece. Standouts for me include "Midnight Sun", "Crimson Ship", "Carry On Til Tomorrow" and "Rock of All Ages".

Ditto to the comments above. I tend to also be fond of "Maybe Tomorrow" which was earlier released by the same band with a slightly different line-up (Ron Griffiths prior to Joey Molland) and under the name The Iveys (also on Apple); I believe the Iveys track is identical to the track included here. Also note: some tracks Produced by Tony Visconti (Bowie, Thin Lizzy) Is Tony still married to Mary Hopkin? also look for the edited version of "Carry On Till Tomorrow" on the b-side of the "No Matter What" 45rpm single. 8 track tapes and cassettes have slightly different song orders, and the LP obviously does not include the bonus tracks. There is also an lp by the Iveys, with many of the same selections, some of them mixed differently, or are different takes, and on the Apple label. Check out Paul McCartney's version of "Come and Get It" on the Beatles Anthology 3 CD or LP. --Sam Scozzari, Suffield CT, 860-989-7442
