Comments for Messiah Prophet Band, Master of The Metal

I had this album until it was stolen from my car in 1989. It has been 8 years and the heavy-metal ballad "for whom the bell tolls" still haunts me. If anyone has this tape and wants to sell, Email me! (sysop@ia-omni.com)

Messiah prophet is back again with soon to be release of new CD called "Colors".They just finished recording it January 97.

This album is a great one, it should have done much better, it rocks with as much intensity as Death bands, reminds me of Warrior! It is hard and explores the heaviness with a nice twist. I love it, and I want it on CD! My tape is old and worn-out!

There are obviously more songs on this record, but since I noloner have it I can`t remember them all."Master of The Metal" is much better than "Rock The Flock" which confuses me as to why they don`t sell it anymore. It compares to anything the group Stryper ever did.

I really like this album, there are 8 songs: 1. Hit and Run, 2. Master of the Metal (my personal fav of the album), 3. For Whom Does the Bell Toll, 4. Fear No Evil, 5. Heavy Metal Thunder, 6. Friends, 7. Battle Cry, 8. Just Reach Out ----- This is overall a great album. It is in the vein of 80 metal and to me sounds like heavy Ratt or Dokken. This cd is way overproduced though and in the liner notes, it says thanks for making them sound like a 'metal' band. Hmmm. Either way, it is still great and the message about Him is strong throughout and that is the important thing. I have the cassette of this (in great shape) and have actually copied a CD of it and arived it in case the cassette dies. Each song is good, but I think that Master of the Metal, Battle Cry, and Heavy Metal Thunder are the highlights of the album. I give it an 8 out of 10.

Excellent Christian Rock Album . My favorite on this album CD is Heavy Metal Thunder . My favorite bands along with Messiah Prophet is Eternal Decision , Saint , Bloodgood , Rage of Angels , Barren Cross , Bride , Whitecross , Emerald , Stryper , Stryken , Force 3 , Jerusalem , Vengeance Rising , Leviticus , Dreamer Etc.. I do have most of these on CD's . If anyone needs a copy or I can help let me know ...
