Comments for McCartney, Paul, Press To PlayE-MAIL: beatles@falls Pual is the greatest!!!E-MAIL: eckartrahnataol.com E-MAIL: Spiderman He was better in the Beatles.E-MAIL: Spiderman But he is one of the worlds greatest musicians ever.E-MAIL: rsuarez@bellsouth.net one of mccartney''s biggest missteps was "press to play". of all his albums in the 80''s this is the one that incorporates all that was bad with music of that time. almost all the songs sound like filler. "footprints" is okay, and "press" is listenable, but sounds so dated due to all the electronic and synths used. not that this album is wretched, it''s just a very dull affair. note: the mccartney collection import includes "spies like us" which was his last top ten hit in the u.s. and "once upon a long ago" which is a very good song that was included in the european version of his greatest hits package "all the best". get the import, it makes the price of admission worthwhile. shrug.shakcohen@hotmail.com Underrated 80's album which sounds better now the cynical 90's are over...every song is good, with the exception of 'Only Love Remains', which I think is quite corny...Overall this is a very interesting and listenable album, with Macca taking a few more risks than he did on Flowers or Flaming Pie. 'Pretty Little Head' and 'Angry' are particularly good.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
