Comments for McCartney, Paul, All the best

This album is the greatest thing that ever happened to music that wasn't (completely) Beatles. Go out and get it today or you won't know what you're missing.

I miss "Let me roll it" and "Nineteenhundredeightyfive"

This even beats "The John Lennon Collection"!!!!

Did you know that "Silly love songs" is a direct reply on the song "How do you sleep?" from John Lennon which is a direct attack on Pauls songwriting ??? (See John_Lennon Imagine))

Hey Spidey, how do you sleep? Paul wrote some great songs with the Beatles - espcially on "Revolver" & "Abbey Road." But I'll take John's openness & visions any time over most over this muzak. I'll take "Imagine" & "Plastic Ono Band" over any Paul solo material. "Silly Love Songs" - BLECCCH!! JOHN RULES!!!!!!!

Hey John, I too like John better than Paul but i think this record is better than the John Lennon collection because i miss "Working class hero" On the collection, also he does a crappy version of "Stand by me" The McCartney record has more evergreens on it!!! It makes me happy, johns music only makes me sad, i think of the pointless murder!!!

It's simply: The today's best composer's best songs.

Why did Capital Records choose to omit "Once Upon A Long Ago" from the American version of this album? If anyone knows the answer let me know.

JOHN IS BETTER THAN PAUL!!!!!!

Hey spidey, just having fun with you, but I still don't love Paul's solo material - with the EXCEPTION of "Maybe I'm Amazed." Sure JL collection is missing Working Class Hero and other stuff from the first 2 albums. BUT- "Plastic Ono Band" and "Imagine" ARE THE 2 BEST SOLO BEATLES ALBUMS PERIOD. Everyone should own those - and JL collection greatly fills in everything else.

all the best is all the best! This is the most diverse and complex album since The Beatle's Rubber Soul.

You must be joking !! this is just a collection album, songs with no connection !!!!!!!!!!!

Was "Once Upon A Long Ago" written to this album or is it on any other album ?

it would take a box set to really showcase all his best. i also wonder why the different versions between the u.s. and u.k. in the paul mccartney collection series, the lack- luster album "press to play" includes "once upon a long ago" and "spies like us". there are a few glaring omissions to this collection, namely "helen wheels", "maybe i''m amazed", "take it away" and a few other personal favourites. all in this is a good place to start, but keep in mind that in just about every mccartney album there are always a few hidden gems that pop music fans certainly should not overlook. it should be noted that most of these songs show that it was paul, not john, that really carried the latter day beatles and proves that while john was the visionary, it was paul who was the talent. it also proves that together they were a musical force, apart they were always came up a little bit short. shrug.
Itīs not necessary to be a fan from him. There are songs onthis CD, which are evergreens, hits, genious music! Each song is a evergreen!
