Comments for McCartney, Paul, Tug Of WarE-MAIL: Spiderman The best songs are Tug Of War, Ballroom Dancing and Ebony And Ivory, otherwise its an avergae albumE-MAIL: Spiderman John, where are you ????You havent commented anything on this album! I'm really surprised....E-MAIL: john.com I don't know this record. just the 2 hits songs:Ebony & Ivory & Take It Away - I I'm not crazy about either. Ebony has a great message, but it's too corny here. I haven't been on this site too much because I'm fed up with the crap on the Beatles page.E-MAIL: Heather i don't blame you, johnny boy. i can't say two words without being called every name in the book by those stupid weirdos. that or they use my name, and that's even worse.E-MAIL: Spiderman The worst part is that I think that theyre getting over to John's and Pauls site. But we need to unite and fight them.E-MAIL: Heather i agree! i bet that marilyn manson impersonater created that "paul is dead" page. seems like something he'd do. but how can we "fight them"???E-MAIL: Spiderman No, i dunno. But it sounded good , didn't it ???????????E-MAIL: Heather absolutely. and it sounded especially good coming from a guy named Spiderman.E-MAIL: Spiderman Thank you. Have you heard this album before ???E-MAIL: Heather no, i've never even heard of it.E-MAIL: rsuarez@bellsouth.net after the wings swan song "back to the egg", his mediocore solo self-played "mccartney II", and the death of john lennon, paul rebounds the only way he possibly could, with a tremendous effort in "tug of war". the title track is a beautiful song and among his very best. "take it away" was a great single, with a nice key change in the middle, this song reminds me of his wings stuff. "ebony and ivory" might be a little too sweet, but no matter how you look at it, paul and stevie wonder singing a song with it''s message of racial harmony, is a can''t miss. a real milestone single. "ballroom dancing" is a cool song with a great hook, some beatle influence here. "wanderlust" and "the pound is sinking" also sound very beatle-esque, both a fine songs. finally there''s mccartney''s moving "here today" about john''s passing. a haunting, beautiful song. there''s some filler, but as filler goes, it''s his more listenable kind. this is essential mccartney. shrug.
