True Aldo Nova fans will probably opt to buy the original releases in their true entirety.

True Aldo Nova Fans will buy this album.(period) Not only to complete their collection, but also for the cool story included in the liner notes. And if anybody out there knows when Aldo is going to stop writing songs for Celine Dion and release a new album of his own, please let me know.

Unfortunately, the music business is also about money. Paying for the album and distribution sometimes can be difficult. It is sad to say but Aldo probably writes songs for Celine Dion because he makes a TON of money just due to the number of albums sold with no out of pocket expense. To write, record, produce and distribute and album, he would probably have to sell hundreds of thousands of copies just to break even. I too would love to see a new album out but my guess is, he probably didn't even break even on the last 2 or 3 due to lack of sales.

This CD has great guitar rock music. "Hot love" is major Kick A**. I would love to see him create a new collection, self produced. Unfortunatly, there is no market more this kind of music any longer. So sad. At least we can still enjoy this stuff.
This is a compilation release from Epic/Legacy (CBS associated), released approximately at the same time as the Jambco/Mercury issue of "Blood On The Bricks." "A Portrait Of Aldo Nova" contains tracks from the three various albums released on the Portrait label (also CBS associated, now defunct), in order of album appearance and release date. Unfortunately, this recording doesn`t pay homage tothe notable instrumentals which Aldo should receive more recognitionfor. Aldo normally plays all instrumentation, save drums, on his recordings.
