George Harrison is by far the most talented musician of all time. This album proves this. I love the beatles, but they did not give George enough credit. The music on this album is an excellent example of this. George Harrison will rule forever.

This album has flaws - namely the jams at the end. It's also a little too religious for my tastes in spots. However, the great stuff on here is GREAT and alot of the songs could have been Beatles classics. Rumor also has it that Bob Dylan anonymously plays harmonica on if not for you (he did write it).

i don't actually have this album, but i've heard it and i think it's awesome. it seems that George did very well after the breakup, n'est-ce pas? this album would be worth the money if i could ever find some: )

George did well on this album, period. the rest is average. And "My Sweet Lord" (a great song) has some stolen melody from the Chiffons "He''s So FIne". I''m going to buy this record as soon as I can afford it.
Not long after the Beatles broke up, George Harrison, without a John Lennon or Paul McCartney to hold him back, spent six monthes in the recording studio recording this solo album. When it was released, it went to the top and critics everywhere raved that it was one of the greatest albums of all time. For once, Harrison`s music was praised more than Lennon`s and McCartney`s.
