Comments for Harrison, George, Dark HorseE-MAIL: amazing_bob@hotmail.com IMO, this is George''s best album. The music is inspired, heartfelt, emotional ROCK! This album has an edge that most of George''s albums seem to lack. Lyrically and musically, a fine effort. His voice wasn''t in top form because of his touring schedual, but you get used to it. It starts off with the rocking instramental Hari''s On Tour. Then he goes into two great mid temp songs with above par lyrics. His remake of Bye Bye Love is great, and Maya Love is one of his best religious songs. Ding Dong; Ding Dong drags a little, but it leads into one of my favorite George Harrison songs, Dark Horse. Then there''s the forgetable Far East Man. The album ends on a religious note with the catchy It Is He (Jai Sri Krishna). It''s an album about strengh and moving on. It was recorded at a time of great upheaval in Georges life, and like on the best albums, he pours his heart into his music. Should have been called Dark Hoarse: recorded in the middle of a busy tour schedule, he voice was shot. The music is very good though. A solid effort. "Ding Dong, Ding Dong" gets radio play sometimes. [snoring] [snoring] [snoring] There! I'm all done listening to "Dark Bore."Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
