Comments for Til Tuesday, Coming Up Close: A Retrospective

I can tell that this must be some of Aimee Mann's favorite songs. Wonderful cd!

"Do It Again" is a great song but I wish that the compilers would have included more unreleased stuff like the "Just Like Me" or "All I Really Want From You." As for the song selection, its pretty good but I would've swapped "Love in a Vacuum" and "You Know The Rest" for "Maybe Monday" and "Sleep;" "What About Love" for the beautiful "Angels Never Call;" and "Limits To Love" and "Long Gone Buddy" for "Rip in Heaven" and "Everything's Different Now."

As guitarist, founding member and sometime co-writer on the all three ''til tuesday records I would be facinated to hear "Do it Again". Surely it can''t qualify as ''til tuesday if neither myself or former keyboard player Joey Pesce can remember it, let alone recording it. After selling in excess of a million copies (figure the record company must have seen at least 5 million not including "cleans") and as one of 4 members to generate the music in the first place, that the largest check ever I received was $10,000.00 prevents me from going out and actually buying it without feeling the old familiar pangs of having been totally ripped off.
Contains the previously unreleased "Do It Again"
