Comments for Finn, Tim, Big Canoe

E-MAIL: carbuyguy@msn.com
I special ordered this album in ''86. The LP that I got didn''t have "Searching the Streets" or "Hole in My Heart." I did find "Searching..." on an EP. NOTE - that version starts with the horn arrangement from the instrumental portion of "Hole in My Heart." It wasn''t until ''88 that I saw it on the shelves in music stores here in the USA. The cover even had 1988 as the copyright date. Perhaps the sound was "dated" by then.
Big Canoe is a bolder attempt for Tim, although this was nota successful album in the US.The grandiosness of of "SpiritualHunger" is enough to get you interested in the rest of thetracks. Powerful and catchy, Finn has branched out in thissolo attempt. Other points of interest include the tracks"So Deep," "Water Into Wine" and "Hole in My Heart." TheBest track on the disk is a upbeat ballad called "Hyacinth."Beautifully written and a catchy lick that will have you humming this while you work. Unfortunately, this is alsoout of print...for now.
