Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Rich Grech, and Steve Winwood make a powerful group. Great album. Too bad it didn't last.

Classic material. Perspective as the 60's have closed and the 70's have emerged. At this point of time music was going to supergroups without any commercial hype. Little did we know how the 70's were to finish out. This album had so many great insights and more likely "Optimistic Faith". An enduring album!

There are two additional tracks on the CD version that are not listed on the cover. Does anyone know what they are. They are not on all CD's. If you know please let me know at olive@mnhep.hep.umn.edu Thanks, Keith Olive

Blind Faith's only album is truely a classic, synthesizing aspects of rock & roll, jazz, & blues into a unique array of very moving (and for the era, timely) music. Baker, Clapton, Grech, & Winwood collaborated in early/mid 1969 to experiment and push the limits of the evolving "progressive rock" form, and they indeed made a vital statement. BF produced a total of nine musical masterpieces that are simply timeless, six of which are on the album. For the finest reproduction of the music on the album, listen to Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs re-mastered effort on vinyl or UltraDisc CD (now both out of print, but obtainable if you look around at audiophile shops/websites). My rating of MFSL's re-mastered issue of the BF album is awesome - If you're a BF fan you must hear this version of the album!!!! Additionally, a single '45 was released in the UK in April/May of 1969, titled "Change Of Address". In 1988, another track was released, a fitting blues rendition (originally by Sam Meyer's) titled, "Sleeping In The Ground". Lastly, a splendid alternative (electric guitar) version of "Can't Find My Way Home" was released in 1995. Contrary to the information written in the UK release of the BF album on CD in the mid 1980's, the (supposedly bonus) tracks "Exchange & Mart" and "Spending All My Days" are actually session recordings which were led by Rick Grech, done with the other three group members, with additional musicians. These two tracks were to become centerpieces of Grech's solo album, which never was completed. If you wish further information on the supplemental BF tracks, contact me directly. I'd be pleased to correspond with other BF enthusiasts! Kenny Parsons Madison, WI USA kenken@midplains.net

Marvelous rock album. Sadly the band only last a year. Winwood's songs (especially Had to cry today) are great. A must for every classic rock fan.
Blind Faith`s self-titled, and only, release.
