This is a fly album - but not their best. The songs "Jam", "The Hop", "Word Play", "Phony Rappers", "Keep it Moving", and a few others show why Tribe is the best rap group.

As A Tribe Called Quest are the phattest, smoothest and coolest hiphop group ever to inhabitate our planet, nobody expects them to released anything worse than the best. Their new album B., R. $ L. is a remedy for all pairs of ears that have been violated by the no-skills-but-who-cares-as-long-as-c.r.e.a.m.-Puff-Daddy-Posse. I´m listening to it over and over and over and over and over again. The Native Tongues rule and take you to another level of state of mind. Doppelgold (4Nations).

What more can you say??? PURE GENIUS! Although I must admit not exactly my favorite Quest album but in comparason to everything else on the street, Beats is a masterpiece!!! It''s exactly what the title implies, phat ass beats, beatifully delivered rhymes, and real life situations. If you are a fan of true hip hop, BUY THE ALBUM!!!! It''s another CLASSIC!! 9/10
