Comments for Hancock, Herbie, Headhunters

THE classic Hancock album. Herbie continues his evolution intojazz-funk (from his previous "Sextant" album) and this oneis a must for anyone exploring the "newjazz" era of the early70`s. Vein Melter is my favourite, as it`s a smooth combinationof Herbie`s electronic keyboard ensemble and the sax/clarinet/flute-playing of the gifted Bennie Maupin. Throw in these threeexcellent sidemen: Harvey Mason - dr; Paul Jackson - b; BillSummers - perc, and what you get is simply a great album!Chameleon is a funked-up version of Hancock`s mid-sixtiesrelease (Summers is flawless on the beer bottle and hindewho!)
