Comments for Sun Ra, Jazz in Silhouette

A relatively traditional date for Sun Ra and his Arkestra, though extremely far out by anyone else`s standards.Nice, tasty jazz with wonderfully moody arrangements. Personally I prefer some of the wilder dates from this time frame also available on Evidence,but that`s not to slight this one. The sound quality is lovely in my opinion and the music quite good.Most of it is relatively "normal" arranged jazz, but track 4 (my favorite) goes outside into drum-oriented, tribal-soothing beauty.
