When I first heard this back in 1985, I was totally accustomed to Yngwie-style Alcatrazz. So the album really confused me on the first listen; it sounded light and kinda' lame. But this is a phenomenal album- in my mind the best sounding stuff I've ever heard Vai play. And Bonnett is solid. An unheralded, powerful, and intense album.

This is by far the best album (lyrically and vocally) by Graham Bonnet. "God Blessed Video", "Will You Be Home Tonight?", "Desert Diamond" and "Skyfire" are the best cuts from this album. There are a couple of lame songs (i.e."Stripper" and "Sons and Lovers"), but they are still well crafted pieces.

one of the most underrated(thanks to the the band''s american and overseas record companies''inner problems)of the decade.A potential "would be" hit album with great arrengements, superb production, versatile&pro playing, best compositions of Vai and Bonnett, having considered their other solo or contribution albums.Vai ,really outvais his future work with lee roth, whitesnake and his solo stuff. His tone and musical approach are first class-any music making person must listen to it.Bonnett is better than ever and really kicks ass.His vocals''re very well recorded and produced. This guy could have changed the face of both classical and modern singing technics, given the chance.Best singer&voice in my book. The rythym section and keyboards are from top notch performers-a must for open minded Toto fans.Keyboard arrengements are just great.Tony Banks must listen to it.10 out of 10.

i had this album when i was 19 years of age. alot of the people who heard it didn't like it. i thought it was brilliant , but mellower than the usual stuff i listen too. you go to remember too that alcatrazz was the first prog metal band and people never took to it. if alcatrazz would've been out today they would be stars. disturbing the peace is a must listen
