Comments for Poole, Alaska Days

Isn't this the band that hangs out with that skinny white boy from Where's Jay? (The redoubtable Fritz Stolzenbach) Legend has it that this mysterious pop tunesmith either turned up on a Poole demo, or Poole's drummer turned up on the legendary "Bindlestiff Snakepole" album -- something like that. Anyhow, yeah, Poole's pretty good, their own cheesy Internet self-promotion notwithstanding.

I love this c.d.! Something very childlike and innocent about it.Excellent vocal harmonies, sorta Beach Boysesque. Musically like a poppy Husker-Du. Even my 1 yr. old nephew likes this!!(the email address on the c.d. is old,I take it the one from MrPoole above is current!)...the best band on Spinart with the departure of the Lilys!..
alaska days is the debut cd from burke virginia`s Poole.this record embodies pop music in it`s best form. not to light not to heavy but never wimpy or too twee. Poole features harry evans ex drummer for indie favorites lilys and former members of the throes. this cd should definately be checked out by pop fans.
