Comments for Pere Ubu, Raygun Suitcase

An absolute gem of a record. Nothing had prepared me for this record the first time I heard it. The matured, "poppier" Ubu of the late 80''s-early 90''s fuses with the "Dub Housing" era, and it all works beautifully. A whole grab bag of Thomas-isms from Elvis fans, the lack of women on Mars, the reliability of stones, the guy across the hall, and the state of Montana, all backed up by one of the tightest Ubu lineups in recent years. THE best album of 1995.
