Comments for Musket, Dick Silverman

The Musket legend was born March `94, when from diverse backgroundsthese four young men came together to create a sound, a sound they dreamed would eventually reverberate the hallowed cyclonefences of Wembley Stadium. There are no doubts: Musket are a stadium rock band just waiting to be set free from the fettersof their beloved Melbourne pub rock scene, just chomping at the bit of world stardom and domination. Those fortunate enough to have felt the vibe already includesuch luminaries as Morphine, The Fauves, Automatic, Big HeavyStuff, Swirl, Drop City, Sidewinder, Pollyanna, Incursion,Glide, Tim Rogers & Huxton Creepers. After much anticipation and trepidation, and after some majorrecord company schmoozing and perusing, the four Musketeershave finally aligned their magic with the wonder of digitalreproduction. Financed from blood, sweat and tears (the bodilyfluids, not the band), and within their own Label and DemoRecording Studios (Cavalier Music), a six tracker named"Dick Silverman" was recorded at Sing Sing in Richmond, andhas just been released through MDS.The CD flaunts Musket`s ability to rock out with the best ofthem, exercising true melodic power and grace, utilising theguitar as an instrument of euphoneous capacity to both blendand conflict. Or if you don`t fall for that, you could justsay it rocks! Musket have taken the aesthetics of rock to heart, and are trying to impart their love onto others, hoping to make this world a better place.Currently gigging regularly and building up their alreadyfanatical (and good looking) following, Musket can only growstronger, converting more and more parishioners to the holyunion of Rock. Amen.
