Comments for Bolton, Michael, Early Years

This disc is a compilation of tracks that a young MichaelBolotin put out for RCA Records in the 1970`s, and it presentshis beginnings as a rather grating soul singer (his shrieking seems tobe more dominant during this period). His versions of "Time Is On My Side" and the Guess Who`s "These Eyes" are among the worst possible covers ever recorded. Of the 12 songs on this disc, nine are fromhis out-of-print 1975 album Michael Bolotin. The remaining three tracks (7,8,9) comefrom his 1976 album, Every Day Of My Life, which has been rereleased as a 1997 entry in RCA`s Special Products lineup.
