Comments for Strange Advance, Worlds Away

This was by far the best album put out by SA, IMHO. It is very sad that Capitol or anyone else ever released it on CD. I have the cassette of Worlds Away and some other SA CDs, but Worlds Away definitely deserves to be put on CD. BTW, was 2wo ever released on CD? If so, does anybody know where to get it? - Tom N.

I have "Worlds Away" on LP and "2WO" on cassette. It may sound corny, but the song "Worlds Awa", despite the stilted lyrics, was on of the most majestic synth tunes to come out of the 80's.

I have "Over 60 minutes with Strange Advance" which is a compilation of "Worlds Away" and "2wo" on CD. I also have "The Distance Between" on CD as well as all three on album. I have followed this band since the beginning and must say they have provided me with some of the finest moments in music I have ever heard.

You know, I like strange advance as much as the next person, (and Im an American) but the video for "She controls Me" has got to be the cheesiest ever. Any body need a copy?

As I sit here listening to S/A, I look at the comments made by all these people, I find it amazing that we still like the music soo much!!! They were a fantastic band and every time I listen to them I hear a great song. Thanks Strange Advance, for 18 years of memories.

I've been a SA addict for 15 years! I was only 11, when I first heard of them. I am so inspired by Drew Arnott. I have Over 60 minutes with, on CD, as well as Worlds Away and back...But I'm having a tough time getting my hands on The Distance Between, wich I have only on tape, as well as 2WO. I don't have their videos, and I REALLY want them, and also, I need pictures, other than all the ones in the Worlds Away and back CD booklet. I have to admit, their songs brought me peace of mind, during difficult times.

Worlds Away: BEST SONG EVER! ...along with several others, like JUST LIKE YOU, RUNNING AWAY, WE RUN, NOR CRYSTAL TEARS, HOLD ON TO THE NIGHT, and songs, admittedly, by other artists. Still, Strange Advance has to be one of the least-rated bands, despite the wonderful quality to their music. Unfortunately, their first two albums never made it to CD. However- I own these on vinyl, and when I find a good record player I can borrow, I will copy ALL the songs onto a computer at my shool. From there the albums will be copied onto CD, and they will finally be available on the net! (So far, only a few songs are available on the web.) ...By the way, I think that 2wo was their best album.
