Comments for Bowie, David, Lodger

Recorded at Montreaux Studios, SwitzerlandEngineered by Tony Visconti and David RichardsArtists Assisting on album:Adrian BelewCarlos AlomarBrian EnoRoger PowellAlthough Production credit is given toBowie/Tony Visconti, real credit should begiven to Brian Eno, whose signature soundpermeates the entire album. Eno also co-wrotemost of the album with Bowie.
I don't enjoy slagging bowie off, yet this album has little to offer me. The first track (I forget the name) harks back to the Low album's blase singing style (which actually worked on the Low album, and does on this particular track (the only half decent one of the album). The rest (in my opinion is completely bland (unless I have missed the point) - I just feel it to be completely boring and a cul-de-sac of a musical idea i.e. a dead end!
